An Unexpected Crossing of Paths

This archive was born from a moment of unexpected reflection. While studying business on exchange in France, a French student remarked that Crystal Chu looked more Vietnamese than Hongkonger. That simple comment sparked her curiosity about Vietnamese culture and led her to explore its artistic traditions. To deepen her understanding, Crystal pursued a Master’s degree in Art History at the University of Hong Kong, focusing on Vietnamese art. Along the way, she discovered a significant gap: a lack of English-language resources accessible to wider audiences. What began as curiosity soon became a calling. Through this archive, Crystal hopes to bridge that gap—celebrating the beauty of Vietnamese art and sharing its stories with a global community.
